Costume Ideas from Our Visitors
Be A Baby About It
Be a baby. What you do is get a pacifier, 2 rubber bands, and a long gown or weird looking pair of pajama's, and something to pin the pacifier to your self. Then you put your hair up in pigtails, wear your pj's and always have your pacifier with you. Thanks - Alex - Grand Rivers, Kentucky

Legally Speaking
Print up fake legal documents, wear a suit and pin them to your suit. Now
your a law-suit. Thanks - Christine in B.C.

Pressed for Time - Think Smart
Wear regular clothes, attach Smarties wrapped candies with safety pins to pants and you can be a "Smartie Pants"  Thanks - Lori

Hungry For Halloween Costumes

Tell people you are going as Chicken Cordon Bleau. Wear all blue clothing (it can be as simple as jeans and a tee shirt), then tie the chicken around your neck with authentic clothesline cord. There you go: chicken cord-on-blue. (You can get really technical and integrate a piece of ham or a pig if you want)
I also have an idea for "Chicken Cacciatore" that involves a rubber chicken, a catcher's mitt, and a picture of Joe Torre. Happy Haunting!
Thanks - Chris, West Palm Beach - Florida

Looking for Costumes - No Sweet P Here!
You can ware jeans but get a white shirt and with paint or a permanent marker make a giant P on your shirt then with take either black eyeliner or black face paint and make a circle around one of your eyes and fill it in then you are a Black-eyed Pea or get a group together and your the Blackeyed Peas!
Thanks - Tracey

On The Wild Side

This idea is a little risqué, so use for bar parties or go to a place with a good sense of humor! Get one of those cardboard drawers set, cut holes through the bottom, sides (for arms), and top (for head). Afix a lamp to the top (behind your head). "One night stand"
Thanks - Tobina

This one has Staying Power
Pin socks, underwear, bras, etc., to your clothes and dress up as the dreaded "static cling."  Thanks - Adina

Costume with Heritage
My brother in law is from Mexico. For my Nephew's first Halloween, my sister and I dressed him up in a traditional Mexican manner. He wore an authentic sombrero, a serapo, and cowboy boots. It was a fun way to teach him about his heritage. Thanks - Jennifer

Dirty Job - T.P.'d House

Use large boxes (T.V., stereo, etc.) to construct a simple house shape--main box with additional cardboard secured to top creating a peaked roof. Make arm and head holes, paint or draw with marking pens to customize with front door, windows, etc. Add a chimney or trees/shrubery if desired. Using household glue or a glue gun affix toilet paper randomly as if strewn about by teenagers in the night. Inlude one or more streamers with cardboard toilet paper roll dangling from the end. Thanks - Kathryn, Lake Arrowhead - CA

Halloween Saver Tip:
Take a old black cloth rap it like a dress over the shoulder under the arm. Take another cloth of the same color and make a hood and finger holes and you have a great inexpensive costume in seconds! Add your own accessories to individualize your costume.
Thanks - Emily, Maitland -FL
